The City of Richmond’s Information and Technology Department were very excited about their new Digital Strategy which outlined a technological step into the future for the City. But they didn’t feel their standard Microsoft Word template would reflect the modern and innovative content of their multi-page report.
As the Digital Strategy was a proactive step into new territory for the City, I decided that the look of the report should do the same. While still adhering to the City’s brand guidelines, I combined modern shapes and colours with contemporary imagery to create a fresh yet professional report design. Increased white space, minimal copy per page and infographic storytelling all contribute to an easy read.
